HISTORY

HISTORY: One In 2015, she went to wake her sister up for school and found her dead. The event was one of the most traumatic in her life, even now, and she'll never forget it. Nor the fact that instead of allowing her to get help, her parents knocked her out. The event was a catalyst for her style change and belief changes.

Two: 2017, she decides to try to reconnect with friends, and ended up accepting an invite from Alex Wilder to join him and others at the Wilder Mansion. One thing leads to another and a passage is opened in the Study. They go check it out and see their parents apparently sacrificing a young girl. Alone in the fact she believed her parents could be evil, she declines further invites and tries to find a way to study the staff she'd seen her mother wielding. Eventually, and entirely on accident, she acquires the staff. She later loses it back to her mother.

Three: Nico went toe to toe with her mother to reclaim the Staff, effectively winning, she took the staff. But it came at the price of being all but disowned. Not the worst thing in the world, really, when you think about it but it was still a sacrifice.

Four: Learning the limitations of her staff was something she was wholly unprepared for - though getting around not using the same spell twice is something that takes creativity and flexibility and she's got some to spare. Using multiple languages and different wordings gets her what she wants.

PERSONALITY

Untrusting - Nico has trust issues when it comes to adults - and not necessarily unfounded. Lies, secrets and more got her burned a lot in life and they hid her sister's death as a suicide when it wasn't. She also has trouble with authority, like cops, because of their involvement in lies.

Creative - Nico is probably the most creative member of the Runaways. Nico has been forced to be creative for her powers - her spell casting limits itself, she has to learn on the fly on how to make it do what she wants, when she can't do the same thing twice. She's learned to use her words, and her meaning, combined to make things happen. The Staff is not the most forgiving of mentors.

Leader - She is a reluctant leader, but sometimes that makes for the best. She is careful, thoughtful, and carries any mistakes with her forever. But she also works hard to keep her friends safe, and use them the best way possible. It is hard, but, she tries and that's more than you can say about others sometimes.

Emotional - Nico's emotions sometimes get the best of her. She's driven to get between people, get close to people and deep down she craves love. She wants that attention, but she doesn't really know how to get it and how to handle it. Sometimes she loses control when working with the Staff and it sets her powers out of control. Emotions are dangerous and she can be emotional. She has things to work on.

Strong - To use the Staff requires both emotional pain and physical pain. As such she's really good at taking a hit, both ways. Every single use of the Staff requires remembering emotionally pain, pain full and awful memories, and the more painful, the more powerful. She does this kind of torture to herself ON PURPOSE in order to save her friends. If it can save someone else, she'll put herself on the line.

Mom - She can be the mother hen of the group. She is terrified to lose any of them, and she's willing to face her own fears, traumas and feelings to keep them safe. She'll stand in the front lines where she's one of the team's most likely to die before she'd let anyone else stand there and take that level of danger, and she'll move mountains, literally, for any one of her Runaways. They're family, she'll sacrifice anything for her chosen family.

Isolating - When hurt, she can isolate herself from others. She doesn't want anyone to feel her pain, and she'll wrap herself up to avoid sharing it. NAME. Trin
